Musser’s Markets, Pennsylvania
Musser’s Market has been around since 1925. It opened its 1st store at “The Buck” which is located in Quarryville PA. It was a local gathering point for local farmers and their hired hands. In 1983 the 2nd of 4 grocery store was bought in Columbia, PA. This was a 17,500 square foot location. It was a smaller in-town store but a perfect fit for a family business. That same year they made another large decision and opened their stores on Sundays. With the success of the stores, that same year they decided to buy another store located in Stevens, PA. Then finally in 2012, they were approached by the Monahan family for interest in buying the 35,000 Lebanon, PA supermarket. On August 12, 2012 they decided to purchase Foodland. Grand opening was March 11th, 2013.
